Looks like Sadiku might be loaned out this week, from the destinations I've heard it seems the choice is between IK Start in Norwegian level 2 or Varbergs BoIS at the bottom of Allsvenskan. I'm pretty sure Start would be the better choice for him, considering he might be better in a team that actually could score goals.

Yes, I saw that too. Obviously Sadiku needs to get more regular play than RBK can give him at the moment, and at a higher level than RBK2, so being loaned out might be best both for him and for the club. I just hope they're looking to loan out without option to buy, and that they're not giving up on him. He's still only 20, after all.

I think Sadiku needs to get his confidence back, while also stepping up a bit on training. From what I hear he isn't anything out of the ordinary there, and he really needs to be now if he wants to get a place in Rosenborg. I can only assume Rosenborg is getting a new striker soon, with rumours that Austria Wien wants to buy Sæter now, and we are potentially loaning out both Aga and Sadiku. That leaves Rosenborg with only Noah Holm as the striker - unless he also leaves which is what is expected.

There's also Thorvaldsson, but I guess he's still out recovering from concussion for at least a couple of weeks, maybe longer. So yes: if both Holm and Sæter leave, someone must be coming in. Quite a turn around, from 5-6 forwards to potentially zero, in less than a month.

I think Thorvaldsson will be considered a winger, at least he should be, because that's what he is. I am sure we aren't going to get rid of 3 strikers at once, and maybe Holm doesn't have the interest around him anymore after all. I do hope Sadiku gets the loan though, because whoever is left of him and Aga, they will just be the second choice behind Sæter or Holm.

Jutun tekstissä ei ole mitään uutta tai yllättävää, todetaan Santerin nousseen saman tien kokonaan toiseen rooliin RBK:ssa ("vaihtopenkin lämmittäjästä luottomieheksi"), kun päävalmentaja vaihtui Kjetil Rekdalista Svein Maaleniin, sitten Santeri kehuu Sveiniä ja Svein kehuu Santeria, ja todetaan että kilpailua pelipaikoista on, ja pitääkin olla.

Siihen kiinnitin huomiota, että myös Maalen käyttää Santerista lempinimeä Santi (tätä on käytetty suht paljon fanifoorumi rbkwebissä).

Agon actually coming in around the 65 minute mark, if I remember correctly this will be the most he's played since the match he started and got subbed out of at half time. Not including RBK 2 playtime.

I assume Rosenborg will be able to win this at home, but the way they came out to play against this team was just horrible. Learnt nothing from watching Haka, that's for sure. I actually think Haka did a better performance overall against Crusaders than Rosenborg, and that is saying something.

It seemed to me they were mostly focused on conserving energy and avoiding injuries today, and aiming to decide at home next week. But maybe that's just me putting a positive spin on what I saw.

One well timed run by Agon, but nothing came out of it. Not a great performance by Santeri today, one lost duel which resulted in a Crusaders counter-attack, and a yellow card soon afterwards.

Not a good match by the team or the Finns, but I'm confident we'll win at home. The next round against Hearts will be tough.

Finns have become really popular in Norway all of a sudden. And seeing how the top performers do, I don't see any reason for it to stop. Väänänen, Håkans and Tomas have very much been solid and players you notice. So hopefully Sadiku, Wallius, and Koskela will take steps and do the same.

The fact that Sadiku will also be loaned out does make me think Rosenborg are looking for another striker, unless they think 17 year old Magnus Holte is good enough backup for Sæter.

Edit: Obviously Holm will be the other striker, I just keep forgetting he exists. I was so happy we "sold" him for as much money as the media said, so I haven't adjusted to the fact that we'll get him back on Tuesday.

Being loaned out to Start might be exactly what Sadiku needs now: starting regularly for (what I think is) a reasonably well functioning team, without the added stress and unreasonable expectations that you get in RBK.

Startilla on kunniakas menneisyys, mm. kaksi mestaruutta, tosin niistä alkaa olla aikaa. Viimeinen neljännesvuosisata on mennyt lähinnä kahden ylimmän sarjatason välillä jojoillessa. Mutta kulttuuria löytyy, ja komea, lähes 15000 katsojaa vetävä kotistadion Sør Arena. Ja ehkä Norjan paras (vähiten huono) ilmasto. Kyllä sieltä kelpaa hakea vauhtia. Harmi että vaihtoivat keinonurmeen kymmenisen vuotta sitten.
