Pavel Rodnenok, Head coach of team Belarus:
- Unfortunately, despite I tried to tune the team at its best, I wasn’t able to ‘knock them into’ the game. There was no attitude, added with quick goal. Team really got too calm. This led to us falling in behind in the first half with 1-2. It may sound paradox, sending off our leader, probably, gave us what we lacked. Being in minority, team started playing more disciplined and started listening to my words. Thus, we won.
Timo Liekoski, Head coach of team Finland:
- For the time of the match we managed to get to know Belarus well. We knew that they are better technically, were physically stronger, thus we played with counter-attacks. We have many problems in passing, ball possession, positioning, converting moments. All our scored goals here were scored by U-17 players. That’s why we look with optimism in the future. Probably next year these boys shall play well.
